Hybrid Downtempo

'Hybrid Downtempo' combines both acoustic and electronic elements with innovative processing methods, resulting in a set of samples that are both organic and ethereal. A '50s Bentley upright piano, manipulated and processed through various effects such as reverbs, delays, and granular processing, is featured to create unique sonic landscapes rooted in a tangible space.

The raw, metallic sound of a Prophet Rev 2 analogue synthesiser is paired with it, used to generate evolving organic pads and synth lines. Additionally, a Moog Subsequent 25 provides deep analogue bass.

 A variety of string recordings are also included, featuring a student violin that offers a woody and intimate tone, a Thinline Fender Telecaster guitar, and a Tanglewood acoustic, all played with a mix of bowing and picking techniques.

 Topping off this collection are analogue drums from the Elektron Analogue RYTM, mixed with layers of subtle shifting foley, creating potent and evocative rhythms to complement the melodic elements.
